You don’t want to get sued for pursuing your passion. Helping others should be easy. And you shouldn’t have to stress, worry, or fret at the thought of a lawsuit.
Bloggers get sued all the time over things like incorrect use of images on their website, defamation, privacy concerns and so much more. Amira’s legal bundle covers all the bases (at an affordable price too) so that you can rest assured your website is legally protected.
Before buying her legal bundle, I spent a copious amount of hours scouring the internet for free templates — copying and pasting a little bit here and a little bit there. But nothing truly protected all the aspects I needed. And who writes those anyway?!
Or maybe you’re using your favorite bloggers’ legal pages for inspiration?
Friend, that’s even worse! You know why? Because that’s plagiarism.
Yes, even a person’s legal policies are protected and considered their own intellectual property. Legal jargon is not my expertise. I’m not a lawyer, and I wouldn’t pretend to be one. So why was I wasting my time doing just that? Is that what you’re doing as well?
The moment we publish our blogs, our websites, our businesses, we need to have these legal notes in place. You should never go live without a privacy policy, disclaimer, or disclosures in place. Why? Because not only are you putting yourself and all of your hard work at risk, but it’s against the law.
Investing can be scary, especially when you don’t know if anything will pay off. But when you’re starting your own business, they’re negotiables and non-negotiables. This is one of those non-negotiables. When you purchase her templates, you’ll be glad you did.
She writes in a clear way that everyone can understand. And customizing the templates to your needs has never been easier. It must have taken me less than 20 minutes to get everything done. And with her smooth, clear cut instructions, I was never left wondering what to do.
Let me also share that since purchasing, there have been several BIG shifts and changes in the law.
Hello, GDPR and CCPA.
I’m not gonna lie. I was a little nervous when all these changes were happening. Many people were. But, Amira kept her word (free updates) and updated the templates in a timely fashion to be sure her clients were protected in the best way.
And again, she made it stupid easy. (She even included the update right inside of the email for us lazy ones that couldn’t be bothered with logging into our account and downloading the new templates lol) It’s so straightforward and nearly effortless.
I can’t stress that enough and I’m certainly not overstating. (Amira has a ton of reviews to back it up) She’s the real deal — a lawyer by day, bada*s blogger by night. And as if all that wasn’t enough on its own, she has a private Facebook group (over 1,500 members) where you can get any help you need. If you find you do need it, she’s there, very active might I add.
(She doesn’t ghost you or leave you hanging after you buy) Blogging can be hard. Building a business can be hard. It’s reassuring to purchase products that make it easy. Grab your legal template bundle here now (< a deal for you)
Here’s your simple guide to creating the perfect pin for Pinterest (using Canva)
If you haven’t already, go ahead and sign up for a free Canva account. Once you’re logged in, you’ll see an option to upgrade to Canva pro. If this is your first time using Canva, you’ll receive the opportunity for a free 30-day trial. Go ahead and sign up for that so you can make the best use and see all the features Canva has to offer. If this is your first time using Canva, go ahead and search for a mood board template. Once you have that, go ahead and create a mood board for your business. Or decide right now, which 2-3 colors you’ll be using for this pin. If you already know that you will sign up for the Canva’s pro plan, go ahead and use their branding features to add your brand colors and upload your fonts of choice. This will make it easier when you’re creating Pinterest templates and any other templates.
Let the fun begin!
First, decide on what size template you’ll use. I recommend using one of the following sizes:
These follow Pinterest best practices
600×900
600×1250
732×1102
1000×1500
1000×2000
Once you have your blank template ready with your desired size- now it’s time to choose whether you will use one of Canvas pre-made templates, your own purchased templates, or design one from scratch? Let’s say you want to design one from scratch:
Here are my best tips to create the perfect pin on Pinterest:
First, you need to understand some simple Pinterest pin design basics. Choose the overall ‘feel’ you want for your pin. Will it be airy & clean or loud & busy? What format do you want to use?
These are some of the most popular ones:
1) The Attention Grabber (words, headline,#’s, shapes)
This design focuses on keywords, numbers, or catchy phrases. (Think click-bait but instead its legit LOL) This format is most effective with a clean, clear, legible print font. Adding numbers to this format, such as # ways to ___ is a great way to entice readers to click.
2) The Topper
This design is exactly as it sounds. The bulk of your text is on ‘the top’ of the pin (with the image on the bottom)
3) The CTA
This is the ‘Call to action.’ The main (& perhaps only) focus of this pin design is to get readers to do whatever it is you want them to do. Maybe you want to grow your subscribers. Then you’d showcase an opt-in freebie on this pin to drive traffic to your landing page. Or perhaps you want to make a sale. Then naturally, you’d lead readers to ‘click here to read more’ and send them over to your affiliate packed post or online shop.
4) The Collage
If you want to showcase many visuals at once, this is how it is done. A collage allows you to tastefully and intentionally display your images.
5) White Space
This design uses ‘white space’ to its advantage. And can be done in several ways. You can use flat lay stock photos that have a lot of white space, or you can opt to leave your background clear of an image and use simple elements to enhance your pin.
6) The Frame
This is where you use shapes in Canva to create ‘frames’ around your pictures or entire pin. When you use this design, it immediately gives you pins a clean, modern, minimalist look.
7) The Gradient
This is such a fun way to enhance your pins. And there are even free ‘gradients’ you can use right within Canva!
8) The Overlay
This is where you’ll completely cover (‘overlay’) your image/pin. This overlay can be one of your brand colors. It’s an easy way to give your pins a branded, cohesive look.
Now, there you have it! You’re on your way to quickly create eye-catching pins that increase views.
If this sounds too intimidating or time-consuming, there’s another alternative. Save time and invest in this huge bundle of templates here. You’ll receive three themed mood boards with 30 unique templates each to match every theme. In 5 different sizes, so you can save time and test which sizes your audience prefers. Simply put, Heights is an online platform that allows people to build and sell online courses and digital products.
“…is the all-in-one course creation software, built to help you sell digital products and content through your own branded online courses, on your own domain. We are the first platform designed to help students achieve results by transforming what they learn into action through project-based learning. Heights Platform helps coaches, consultants, entrepreneurs, and digital marketers create online courses and complete learning platforms to monetize knowledge, without giving away a percentage of their earnings.”
Where Can I Make My Purchase & What’s The Investment?
This course platform can currently be found on a truly* one-time deal starting at just $79 (Normally ~$1000/year). *Heights creator Bryan has already noted that this deal will NEVER be available on Appsumo AGAIN.
One code will provide you, 100-course students. When you “stack” more codes, you’ll unlock approximately 400-500 additional students with each additional code. If, for some reason, you find your brand going viral, growing, etc., and you have an influx of students, fret not! You’ll have the ability to purchase an “add-on” (which can always be downgraded or canceled at any time) for about $19/month for each bundle of 500 additional students needed. We never “lose” our lifetime Appsumo status. Phew. This makes it an incredible offer and a real steal. This deal (and company) are truly set to help us succeed in the most cost-effective way possible!
How Does Heights Compare To Other Platforms (Like Teachable, Podia & Thinkific)?
Unlike other course platforms online, Heights Platform “aims to help facilitate results for your students, because your long-term success depends on that of your students.”Heights has many unique features to help keep our students engaged. Their platform encourages them to demonstrate what they’ve learned by putting it into action and gaining peer feedback. Most, if not all other course platforms simply aren’t as robust as Heights. They can’t do EVERYTHING in one place and what winds up happening is creators attempt to close this gap by offering a “private fb community” >cue eye roll< This is SO much better than that. #ohandyouwontbedatastalked Keep reading so you can discover alllll the cool features Heights has to offer that makes them a truly one of kind platform.
How Can I Make $$$$ With This Platform?
Create a digital product
If you created an ebook, journal or digital printable of ANY kind, and priced this at say- $9 (looking at a lowww bare minimum) and made only 1 sale a day…You’re looking at over $3,000/year of a nearly passive income. You’d theoretically make your investment hundreds of times over! (Disclaimer: I’m providing these examples solely for illustrative purposes. The examples do not guarantee you will make profits of any said amounts, if anything at all.)
Create a course
Same idea here. Let’s look at another figure. If you created a course and decided to charge just $49 for it and made just 1 sale a day, you’re looking at over $17,000/year. Again, making this deal a TOTAL no brainer.
Accept payments via PayPal or stripe
NOTE: If you don’t want to use Stripe or Paypal* You, too, can still collect payments via whatever third party checkout system you’re using via Zapier. Yesss!!!!
Apply to become an affiliate if you love the platform
Heights Creator, Bryan, has been extremely active in the questions/comments/forum section on the Appsumo website. Also, every query I’ve made online-resulted with an answer within 24 hours TOPS. (Yea, I ask a sh*t ton of questions LOL & I don’t always pack them neatly into one email like this post)
For specific issues, you can email Heights Support at [email protected]
OR: Check their knowledge base at heightsplatform.com/knowledgebase Watch Bryan give an in-depth walk-through here: https://youtu.be/moVgADtCRug
If you have any questions or feature requests, they are quick to respond. Honestly, this earned high praise here. Bryan’s responsiveness has been nothing short of superb and I’ve never received service like this with Teachable, Thinkific or Podia (or any other provider I’ve worked with, including ones I actively use!)
What Are Some Pros & Cons Of Heights?
PROS:
Low upfront cost, lifetime deal, no monthly fees
Quick setup (no wasting hours upon hours on design, style or branding)
No additional plugins = no heavy non-sense slowing down your website (looking at you woo-commerce)!
Enhanced security
Community features/ discussion boards/built-in forum
No transaction fees (this is HUGE)
Cheap video hosting
No branding/White label branding
Custom domain w/ FREE SSL
fully responsive landing page banner
Unlimited courses
Unique “CLIMB” layout (gives a bird’s eye view on the overall course content and drag & drop rearrangement)
The ability to bounce around between Outline, Editor, Teacher, and Student views is fantastic. You don’t have to guess what the experience is going to look like in the end as you’re designing away. #hellofrontend&backendinone.
“Project” system
It’s robust. With a ton of in-depth features (check them out below) you’ll easily replace other services and Heights becomes an all-in-one solution.
Gamification. This goes a long way in learning environments!
Membership creation: There are tons of social/community features on this platform. You can sell enrollments to your program on a subscription basis and provide unlimited discussion boards and discussion board groups for your students. Student profiles show activity and badges earned. There’s also the unique project posts feature which allows students to share what they’ve built with their new knowledge as well as comment and vote on the posts from their peers.
CONS:
Traditional UI: Although not horrible, the UI can be improved
No examples of existing users: I was hoping to see a LIVE example and couldn’t find one. Although, Heights does say they have several clients/companies (None as large as say Apple or Google)
Certificates: One user complained about the ability to provide certificates. Or lack thereof, I should say, without the use of a third party. However, Heights continues to HEAR customer feedback and continues to add these features and more on their roadmap. So, fingers crossed.
Integrated quizzes (may not be a make or break it for some, BUT there IS a solution)
Using Heights “project” feature (instead of quizzes) you are asking your students to discover, learn, ACT and come back to share the progress. THIS is a much more effective strategy for testing and growing opposed to asking questions immediately after completing a lesson.
We have a vision of assessment tools that can provide something better than a standard multiple choice quiz -Heights Platform
The following are some popular choices for embedding quiz content into your lessons:
